My husband has used the prescription version of this and it worked well for him. He just has problems sticking to anything, whether it is a diet or a medication regimen, even if it is working. I'm normally anti-pill when it comes to weight loss, but this works as sort of a deterrent. You know how they used to give some drug addicts a medication that would make them sick if they slipped up and went off the wagon? This works like that. As long as you don't slip up and eat something fatty, you won't need those extra pants :-)

No, no, no. Tony, don't do it. This is Oboe Cop here. You don't need to have a drug with nasty-ass side effects, when you are already winning the battle.

I checked out the marketing, and they absolutely mention that you need to watch what you eat or you will have 'treatment effects'.

They seem to be pretty up front in saying that if you aren't serious about trying to lose weight, then you probably don't want to try alli.

It wouldn't make me quit dieting and exercising, but if it gave those a bit of a boost, that would be wonderful.

I have seen ads for alli, but I didn't even realize it was a pill. Maybe their huge marketing campaign isn't all it's cracked up to be. =)

Of course, if they keep mentioning that when you start to use it, you need to keep an extra pair of pants on hand for "accidents"...that's not going to help their marketing either! =)

Sounds like it might be better to just exercise and watch what we eat. =)
