For the last two years, I've been sugar soda free and living on diet soda, even going caffeine free for the last six months or so. Yet, even at that, I'm back to being the heaviest I've ever been. I drink water on occasion, but I bet I easily drink 3 liters of Diet Dr. Pepper a day.
I keep talking about making the switch to drop the carbonation altogether. With this latest show and some other stuff I've been reading, I'm going to make the push. Good thing I like sugar free Kool-Aid.

Oh Yeah!

Diet soda doesn't work for me because it makes me crave salty snacks. Something after the cloying aftertaste makes me want potato chips or something.

I did the dip-the-fork thing for salads when I was doing eDiets. It really works! I've never been a person who likes a lot of dressing on my salad, though, so that is right up my alley.
When I want a vinaigrette dressing, I like those new Wishbone Sprays.

You definitely have to pick a meal plan that is going to work for you long-term. I don't even consider low-carb diets like Atkins because I KNOW that I don't want to go without bread or potatoes.

Tell Tee that everyone doesn't turn to running. I am not going to run even if someone is chasing me :-). I definitely walk rather than run when I get on my treadmill.

A lot of people say that when they have been on a diet for a while and then go back to fast food, it doesn't sit well on their stomachs. I must be built for junk food because I have never experienced that. When I quit eDiets, I headed straight for the fast food and it tasted SO good. I guess that's why I gained all my weight back and then some. The healthy eating habits just don't stick with me.

I am not a daily soda drinker. I'm a binge soda drinker. If my husband buys a 2-liter or a case of soda, I will drink and drink until it is gone. I don't miss it if he doesn't buy it, though. Soda for me is a snack. I don't drink it because I'm thirsty. That's why I have trouble increasing my water consumption -- I don't get very thirsty. If I drink 8 oz of water in addition to my 2 cups of coffee, that's a good day. With the Sister Challenge, I've worked myself up to 34 oz of water a day and I feel like I would spew water if you bumped into me. Ugh!
